A new tool has been developed to support organisations looking to transition away from residential care: The Transitioning Residential Care Cost Estimate Tool.

Non-residential care programs are proven to be more cost effective than residential care programs, however moving away from a residential care model often involves a temporary spike in costs and this is an important consideration when getting a commitment from key stakeholders for the transition.

For organisations who run or partner with residential care services, and who are considering or planning to transition, this tool will help estimate the cost implications for the organisation running or funding the residential care service. With the input of some basic information, the tool will generate a unique summary and estimated financial impact of your transition.
